Full-time HR Coordinator

at Hollingsworth Logistics in Martinsburg, WV

SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resource Coordinator serves to provide assistance in all areas of Human Resources and day-to-day operations. This role acts as the “face” of the HR department and facilitates responses to employee questions/concerns. Assists the team by ensuring that all data entry is completed timely and accurately. Consistently walks the production floor to communicate with employees and boost employee morale. Assists the HR team as needed with projects and administrative functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage employee records, both physical and electronic, and processes employee data changes in HRIS

Conduct audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective actions

Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding, including issuing employee badging and managing new hire announcements

Verify I-9 documentation and updates certifications

Conduct benefit orientations and performs associated administration tasks (enrollments, etc.)

Respond to unemployment claims

Process verbal and written verification's of employment

SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum one year experience in Human Resources

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration OR Associates Degree and minimum two years of HR experience OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of four years HR experience

Intermediate or advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Able to schedule meetings in Outlook, create/manipulate reports in Excel, and create objects in Publisher)

Working knowledge of Kronos and Paylocity is highly desirable
